   Absolutely wonderful–orbiter on final. Only saw this from vehicle landing tapes one other time. Truly exceptional. A 109 ton unpowered glider, from being a spaceship not 15 minute earlier, and starts off as a rocket.

   “The Magnificent Flying Machine”, as Commander John Young said upon landing after STS-1. Indeed.
