Mark Bish Son Of Rue McClanahan?
Beloved actress Rue McClanahan passed away from a massive stroke early in the morning June 3rd.
Mark Bish, her son from her first marriage, decided to take her off life support. Morrow Wilson, who McClanahan separated from in 2009 after 12 years of marriage, tells Life & Style “In truth, there really was no choice.”
Best known as Blanche Devereaux on the popular sitcom “Golden Girls”, McClanahan had suffered a minor stroke recently after bypass surgery last year, and had survived breast cancer in 1997. She is survived by her husband, Morrow Wilson, and her son, Mark Bish by a previous husband.

McClanahan was a breast cancer survivor who had undergone treatment for breast cancer in 1997 and would lecture other breast cancer survivors on how to age gracefully. In 2009, she had heart bypass surgery and was slowly recovering.
At McClanahan’s request, no funeral will be held. Memorial services will take place this summer in New York and Los Angeles.
While younger audiences (meaning those who grew up in the ’80s) know her best as the promiscuous, vivacious Southern Belle Blanche Devereaux on Golden Girls, McClanahan also acted on Broadway and in soap operas. Her first prime-time show was Maude, which starred her future Golden Girls co-star Bea Arthur as the titular character. Arthur died last year, and Estelle Getty, who played Sophia Petrillo, died in 2008. National treasure Betty White will continue to be immortal and awesome.
Her passing leaves Betty White as the only surviving “Golden Girl”, almost 20 years after the show was cancelled.
