Lungs Still Breathing After Being Removed From The Body
Doctors thought this was impossible at first. But for the first time, transplant surgeons, used a new technique to repair an injured donor lung that was unsuitable for transplant, and then successfully transplanted it into a patient.
Lungs don’t breathe on their own, of course, but by way of the diaphragm and other surrounding muscles. In this video you can see that they’re pumping air in and out of the lung artificially through those white tubes, probably to help preserve the tissues in as natural a state as possible.
Any advances, which will aide lung patients who require it, are welcome, very welcome in the world!!

Who said the Lungs was working independently?
Title of the video says it all.
The lungs do not have the ability to inhale air, they need the diaphragm to create a pressure vacuum to suck air in.
