That’s just plain cruel. There’s obviously some traumatic experience the dog connects with the song and these twits don’t realize it. It’s disappointing that people like that will also be allowed to raise children one day.
Yeah, because the dog totally can tell you that someone beat him horribly to this song. >_> Or played “Pin the Tail on the Doggy”… Stop making stupid connections like that.
Psychology is not a science! It’s an applied philosophy that makes pathetic attempts to generalize dynamic human and animal behavior. Take your voodoo elsewhere, missy. If you have a degree in psychology, slap yourself and GET A REAL JOB.
Possibly this was a shelter dog, and at his former house, they were singing that song when, say, the candles on the cake caught the house on fire. I’d say that could be traumatic enough to make the dog want to get help or stop the fire…
OMG people it was obviously trained, he wasn’t crazed he was happy. Obviously they are someone else had trained the dog to get exited at the song. Perhaps it was sang whenever something really great was about to happen like going on a walk. My dog went nuts every time we would say “lets go feed the horses” because she got a tiny bit of horse food every time we went out there.
Not only are they serious, they’re very likely correct.
It clearly evoked an emotional response from the pup. That’s learned behavior from, likely, an event.
Ever think that the dog wasn’t adopted but was raised all it’s life by those people, unless they were the abusers that dog most likely didn’t have any traumatic event relating the Happy Birthday song to trigger such a response. It was probably trained.

It’s called a learned behavior, Amanda. It’s really basic psychology. You should look it up.

Are both of you two being realistic? Yes he is pestered but trying to connect? Or saving a fire?
