I would destroy my hard-drives like that too. It is incredibly easy to recover deleted data from old hard-drive which often time include sensitive data(like passwords, credit card numbers, and social security numbers). So unless you have the confidence in your technical know how to wipe old hard drives, your best off destroying them like this.
why isn’t he only putting one in at a time? that thing will easily handle more than that.
